Major in Success
Make College Easier, Fire up Your Dreams, and Get a Very Cool Job
by Patrick Combs w/ a foreword by Jack Canfield

Major in Success
  • A National Bestseller
  • Winner of NY Public Library "Best Book" Award
  • More than 100,000 read
  • Used in hundreds of colleges, schools and youth programs nationwide
  • Featured on National TV by Barbara Walters
  • Official selection of the Society of Success & Leadership
Ah, the book that changed my life. Being my first stab at writing something for publication, not too mention an entire book, I battled insecurities the entire time it took me to write it. But it's been the little book that could. Year after year the book has been out there taking its chances and finding the people that needed its advice. So far, to my astonishment, it has found over a hundred thousand readers and, after 7 years in print, is in more demand than ever. It's even used as a text in hundreds of university courses around the country. I wrote this book because one day I opened the newspaper and saw an article about a student at Rutgers University who'd written a book called Cheating 101. I decided right then and there to write an alternative book that would be 101 productive (and legal) ways to get ahead in college. If I never publish another book, I'll go to my grave happy that I made and acted on this spur of the moment decision. The best thing about Major in Success, from my perspective, is that I wrote it as an amateur. I blazed away at a keyboard powered by level of optimism, positivity, and truth that perhaps only amateurs can achieve. Write a book if you've have the idea to -- especially if you're an amateur. An author is simply an amateur writer that didn't give up.

Gearing Up
(Inside & Out) for a Great Life
by Patrick Combs with Justin Boudreau and friends.

Gearing Up
  • An official selection of the Society of Success & Leadership
  • Co-wrote with 5 motivational youth experts on 4 continents
  • Easily readable in a few days
  • Perfect for all backgrounds
  • Great for students with multiple-struggles
I wrote this book for teens (although I hope non-teens will read it also) and I invited my friends, Justin, Greg Evans, Deanna Latson, Martin Latulippe and Paul Nicholson, all youth experts, to help. The collaboration created a lot of magic on the pages (for me at least). My goal was to write an inspirational book about inner-advances, true happiness and steps forward. In the beginning I thought I was going to be able to knock this book out in 3 weeks. After a month, and only half-way done with it, I thought the book was going to knock me out. But upon completion I had what felt like a perfect prequel to Major In Success. Gearing Up contains the coolest stuff I've ever been taught about self-image, thinking, beliefs, freedom, happiness and fear. Never thought I'd write a book for high school students but woke up one morning with the unexpected and very strong desire to do so. Life's cool that way; it has plans for you when you listen.

L'Ecole du Succès
Profitez au Maximum de votre passage aux etudes, decouvrez vos Passions et decrochez L'Emploi de vos reves!
by Patrick Combs and Martin Latulipp w a foreword by Marc Gagnon

L'Ecole du Succès
  • A Canadian National Bestseller in its first month
  • Customized for Francophones
  • Includes a chapter on Entrepreneuring
This is the French-Canadian edition of Major in Success, but it's also a significantly different book. Most of the stories are new and it includes additional chapters. The fact that this book even exists is a testament to the power of purpose. It all started when a 26 year old in Canada emailed me to tell me he loved my book. We corresponded a few times about his aspirations and the work he was doing to change the lives of young French-Canadians. Then one day, on a trip to Maine, I invited the young man to meet me for lunch. He drove many hours to do so. By the end of the day I was so impressed with him that I tossed out an idea and an offer. I suggested that he should translate Major In Success into his native tongue of French. I guessed he'd never get around to doing it. I guessed entirely wrong. Within one month the young man had secured an interested publisher. Within three months he'd interviewed more than 25 remarkable French-Canadians for their stories of success. Within 5 months he'd secured a foreword by Canada's most famous Olympian ever, Gold Medalist speed skater, Marc Gagnon. And Within 6 months the book was published with this young man as my co-author. In it's first month of release it became a bestseller. I will never forget the day this book came out. I was out a book release party in Montreal, in part in my honor yet unable to understand a single word said, sitting in total awe of the magic that purpose and passion create.
